perfect day to teach marcus how to fly his first kite at a park nearby:
do you see how tiny he is flying that kite that is as big or bigger than him?
i love the photo on the right as the greatest reminder that he still has very far to grow + go + that i will be here for him every step of the way. he is so small but his personality, smarts + smile far exceed all two years and ten months of him.
the funny part? he for some reason wanted the kite on the ground. he thought the point was for it to come down, not stay up. so i was squealing excited in the park that this amazing summer wind was taking such awesome care of our kite, and he was trying his very best to pull the kite back down. too bad for marcus, the wind won, and our kite flew for longer than ten minutes each time we launched it.
pretty awesome way to spend a sunday morning and since then, he's come around to the whole 'flying kite' concept.
