high five friday: the short and sweet edition.
1. this week my little goodbye with marcus before he went to his dad's was our best yet. i am getting a good grasp on how to 'do' this kind of stuff and we are getting it down pat.
2. this week flew by. i have been super focused on work now that the d-word.moving.unpacking. is all over and done with. now i feel like a vitamin-selling-machine.
3. marcus slept in every day this week. which means i probably just jinxed it and daylight savings will be a little hellish [cue the city and colour song]
4. i tried new ketchup chips thanks to c_snapper. they were delicious. although sadly, chips are basically non-existant in my house and life these days. my body craves kale chips, not ruffles. tear. but still, i deserved the little cheat and they were so good. i will have to get some for boo when she is here. i'll convert her too.
5. i've been putting a lot of thought this week towards my 'why' and my goals in life and just trying to identify with the qualities i really want to focus on in my person. important things to think about so i'm happy i put some time into it. i think when you visualize the most impactful qualities of the best version of yourself, the decisions you make through the day start to be shaped around that and much more purposeful/fulfilling. good times.
6. marcus' behaviour was like, a twelve out of ten all.week.long. so happy to see him growing and can't wait to take him for a smoking scoop of vanilla ice cream tomorrow to thank him for making my life so filled with goodness.
7. the ice cream isn't going to be organic. and we don't eat dairy. but we do love life so we will do it anyways.
8. my old man got one year older! the mega don added one more year to his legacy and we just love him so much.
9. i am planning a few days off in just about 5 weeks and 4 days but-who's-counting. it will be an awesome couple of days for me, and great for marcus to miss me for a few while he spends some time with his dad.
10. marcus rode a trike [with pedals.] for the first time. his bike here has no pedals- it's one of those sick balance bikes a la chopper, but he keeps his radio flyer at his dads and rode it on.his.own. with pedals and all yesterday. super proud of him.
i hope this week was a really great one for you. make sure you take a few moments to recognize the challenges and accomplishments that you learned from this week and use both as motivation to grow.
tgif! high five people.
