this is what weekends are all about.

allowing your kids to not only enjoy their own frozen yogurt, but insist on 'sharing' yours and double fisting.
doesn't mean you can't sneak a bite when they aren't looking ;)

we have found a great rythym since i started my new job. i am home almost every night for dinner during the week - which means we are enjoying each other's company, catching up as a fam, and eating even healthier. this might be the norm for your fam, but for us and our alter-work-week-schedule, it's new, and it's awesome.
the new job is great. i don't want to jinx it [does that still happen? jinxing? sounds very 90's you owe me a coke] but i am loving everything about it. especially the part about it being down the road. the past few weeks we have gone on more trips to the park together than i can count. we watch airplanes take off and land from the airport nearby. we've been cooking good dinners. it turns out i'm a new woman when traffic doesn't take away from my time at home with the boys [just ask my husband!]

i am working on getting us a home comp - hence my non-blog status these past few weeks. so be patient and soon i'll be back to posting new soccer-mom-stories a few times a week! for now, i'm going to keep enjoying this new pace and the 10+ extra hours a week i'm spending with my two favourite people instead of with the QEW.

hope you're enjoying the starts of summer as much as we are! talk soon!
