the past few weeks have brought a lot of new beginnings.
1. got married. incase you missed my photo crazed post below.
2. got a new job. no longer commuting 3 hours a day. now working 7 minutes from home [not that i'm counting]. now able to drop off and pick up marcus at school everyday without having to miss meetings, leave early, hate life while stuck in gridlock. now able to save many hundreds of dollars a month in gas [seriously though i need to fill up today before it goes back up to 1.40 which is insanity]. now able to sit and have dinner with my family [or here's hoping at least]. and the best part? it's a kick ass job & a great step forward from where i was on friday at 4.
it feels like we have worked so hard for the past few years [going on 3 in september] and everything is really coming together lately. it feels rewarding. it feels deserved. and it feels really good. [cue the knock on wood.]
so off i'll go tomorrow with an empty laptop sleeve, a notebook and a gucci, with my head high and my coffee still hot, hoping to make great connections with a new team, and a half decent first impression.
