bachelorette fete

somewhere between my 8th double jagger bomb, my backward spin in pole dance class, and my last bridal shower gift opened, i realized how fabulous the ladies in my life are.

i started the weekend with an amazing bachelorette night out [pole dance class, dinner at my favourite restaurant, surprise gifts, then out on the town] organized by one of my most favourite people in this world, meliss.

then after getting in some great time with marcus on saturday, we had family arrive from overseas [met my niece! beautiful!] and welcomed them along with our bridal party, cocktails, and some more presents.

remember my post on entertaining with a toddler? we nailed it people.

finally, marcus and james enjoyed a total boys day out while i was showered with love and even more presents by my favourite ladies - friends and fam alike. the shower was fabulous - guests each got to decorate their own two tier wedding cake with the help of a baker - totally delicious and we all felt like an episode of cake boss.
we got engaged almost two years ago, and have taken on a lot since then. and a week and two days out, i have never felt more love, or more like a 'bride'. i didn't know if i would feel like this, with us already having started our own little fam and all. but i so do, and i so love it.

can't wait to become the official mrs. mcaloon. and thanks to all the fabulous ladies who made me feel so special all weekend long.
