did you know my man runs a chuck e cheese? [please don't leave a comment asking for tokens. marcus hoards any we find around the house in his chuck e piggy bank for sunday mornings.]
there are obvious perks. any open sunday morning, marcus and i head over and spend a few hours battling it out over 'chuck e ducky' and 'bob the builder' games. morning jaunts also mean no pizza - which makes this oatmeal mama very happy.
there are also some not-so-perks: it is team mommy and marcus from friday at 5 until monday at 5. we don't see james during the weekend which means by monday morning i am looking forward to an hour long commute [seriously. time to myself in peace and quiet after all weekend with an awesome toddler? yes please]. it also means i had to learn to truly run the show at home solo. i think all moms are wicked multitaskers right? clearly more than just moms are multitaskers. i'm just partial. this is a run-through of our day today:
early start [cue double double]
watched morning cartoon
dance party
made cinnamon organic pancakes together
played zoo animals
played farm
grocery shopped
homemade mini pizzas for lunch
naptime [cue 2 loads of laundry,dishes,blogged,cleaned,phonedate with sister,jillian michaels workout]
went shopping [2 exchanges, two pick-ups from the bay. yeah.]
home craft time [finger painting, sparkles, more painting, trying to teach blue and red, stickers, love.]
homemade spaghetti and turkey meatballs
more zoo animals
yo gabba gabba
bathtime
call daddy to say night night
reading
lights out
more laundry
vacuum
steam mop
shower because tmrw morning we have a playdate
collapse on the couch
finish blog.
watch the office
... this multitasking mother is tuckered.
