hey, could i borrow your time machine?

between our wedding (and trip to tulum) coming up in april, and my son's overnight ability to pronounce so many new two-syllable words, i can't even tell you how fast time is flying by me right now. everyone told me that when you have a baby, they grow up so quickly.

talk about an understatement.

he has learned at least 25 new words THIS WEEK. not just the basic ones either - in 6 months, i think his vocab will rival my own. and as if it's nothing, he is suddenly repeating every word we say. this is dangerous, no?

don't get me wrong - i don't wish he was still a newb.

[altho he did melt my heart in that day too]
i'm just more of a 'toddler person' than a 'baby person'. but honestly? i could bottle him at this age and keep this stage forever. i love the toddler stage. i love that he says 'love you' to me. i love that he demands i put him in his crib, wraps himself up in his blanket, blows me a kiss and waves 'bye bye. night night mommy' every night at 8 pm. i love his signature squee of delight that comes with my arrival after work every night.

so, with that said, can someone lend me their time machine so i can come back to this time later on when i have a teenage son who gives me grey hair and wants to borrow my soccer mom mobile after school?

  1. Love the vintage pic! And although I'm totally not wishing this baby time away, I can't wait till my little man puts himself to sleep at night! :-)
