heartbreaker.

valentine's day is just around the corner. which means the following:

1. i am going on a date. like, a real one where i plan to blow dry my hair all pretty and put on something other than lulu lemon's and maybe even heels, and to a real restaurant - and not where you may or may not order a quarter-chicken-dinner-white-meat-fries-no-roll-steamed-veggies-on-the-side.

my dinner date is probably going to wear a skinny tie, his coolest jordans, his hair in his faux hawk, and his hot wheels in his jacket pocket for back up while we wait on appetizers. i'll order us spinach dip [delicious] and he'll order whole milk or an orange juice press - on the rocks. we will definitely hit up the early bird special so as not to bother any adorable couples who are hoping to do more making out over bellinis, and less making out what each other is saying because the two year old in the next booth has a huge spirit, lots of charisma and a definite two-year-old-sense-of-humor. if he plays his cards right, he might even get to share a little fro yo for dessert.

2. i am surprising marcus with heart shaped pancakes on valentine's day morning and can't wait. he loves little surprises like that and i already know he will go 'ooooh man! that's so crazy!' or something equally awesome. i'm also going to make a little trail of confetti hearts from his bed to his pancakes. i'm a loser. hate on, haters. and if you think that's a bit much, wait until easter ;)

3. today we transformed our dining room into a valentine's day painting-drawing-crafting-sparkling-stickered-as-aunt-laura-might-say 'glitter is the herpes of crafts because once you get it you can never get rid of it' card factory. marcus was hard at work. he made so many valentines and kept telling me who they were for and who would like which colours and which card ... aka cute overload:

Hope your weekend was half as messy and just as fun ;)
